Bikini curiosities

Bikini Basmar Belinda
1. First bikini (1913): Jantzen designed the first two-piece bikini (short-sleeved shirt and shorts) with a newspaper print. With this model the navel was not shown.
2. The patent of the bikini by the automobile engineer Reard (1946): A French exotic dancer Michellini Bernardini wore the bikini, which professional models did not dare to wear.
3. Its use was prohibited in the United States: In some places in the United States, use in public places was prohibited, possibly due to its small size. It was not until the 60s with the sexual revolution that women were able to wear them with peace of mind on beaches and swimming pools.
4. Bikinis are not worn in training and competitions: Because bikinis can cause negative hydrodynamic effects.
5. There are variants of the bikini: Trikini (union of the bottom and top of the bikini with a narrow element) and mini bikini (a smaller size bikini).
